Have Beautiful Eyelashes and Eyebrows Using Castor Oil

How to Use Castor Oil for Good Health
Castor oil is a common home remedy that fell out of favor with the general public. However, with the resurgence of homeopathic treatments, castor oil is coming back into favor as a remedy for everything from constipation to arthritis. Here are a few ways that castor oil can restore good health.

Castor oil remedy

Use castor oil to ease constipation. It is widely know for its laxative properties, so taking one tablespoon a night until the bowels move will help alleviate your constipation.
Make a castor oil pack to improve blood flow. Saturate a piece of heavy cloth or flannel with castor oil. Place the material directly on the skin of the affected area, place the plastic bag on top of the flannel, and then place the heating pad or hot water bottle on top of the plastic bag. Keep in place for an hour. This can relieve symptoms of lower back pain, arthritis, headaches, and various intestinal disorders.
Take castor oil to help dry out the membranes that produce mucus in the nasal cavities. Add one tablespoon with your regular medicine and use it to treat stuffy nose.
Apply castor oil to skin affected by acne with a cotton ball and leave overnight. You should see a difference in the morning. For more persistent acne, repeat treatment until it is clear.
Place a little bit of castor oil on an eyelid sty with a cotton swab several times a day to eliminate the infected pore.
Castor Oil softens thick calluses and removes corns: Castor oil application will soften any rough or thickened skin, including calluses and corns. To treat corns, apply castor oil over your feet and put cotton socks on before going to bed. (Incidentally, sleeping with castor oil socks on will also soothe painful heels and foot pain.)
Castor Oil cures skin infections like athlete’s foot and ringworm: Apply a castor oil soaked cloth on the affected area. If it is small enough, a bandaid with a few drops of castor oil can be used instead.
Castor Oil prevents stretch marks: Rub a small amount of castor oil over your stomach and thighs daily to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy or periods of weight gain.
Castor Oil will remove age spots (liver spots): Rub castor oil into your age spots every night. The age spot will lighten over time, and continued use will eventually remove the age spot completely.
Castor oil works better than any store-bought anti-ageing creams.
Castor oil’s ability to penetrate more deeply than any other essential plant oil make it an excellent way to keep skin looking youthful and fresh. One of the best and easiest ways to use castor oil is to rub in a small amount around your eyes before bed, washing it off the next morning.
You can also rub in castor oil all over your face, but as it’s extremely thick and sticky, use sparingly. A little goes a long way! You can rinse this off after 2-3 hours, but you can always keep it on for longer if you feel comfortable. This type of all-over application might feel more uncomfortable in hotter and more humid climates. Thus, cooler days/nights or fall/winter may be better for castor oil mask applications.
Done daily, this will keep wrinkles at bay and the skin looking fresh, youthful and supple. With consistent use over a few months, this can also help to fade old dark marks left over from pimples/spots.
Note: If you intend to use castor oil intensively (24 hours/day over many consecutive days), you may encounter some temporary “looseness” in the area of application. This looseness/wrinkling effect is temporary, and the skin will tighten back up again in 1-2 weeks if you take a break from castor oil. However, you can avoid this risk by taking regular breaks.

Castor Oil cures acne

The ricinoleic acid in castor oil works to inhibit many viruses and bacteria, and as castor oil is able to penetrate skin tissue deeply, this makes it an effective treatment for acne.
To treat acne, dab a hot damp washcloth all over your face in the evening before you go to bed. The heat will gently open the pores on your face. After this, massage a little castor oil gently into the skin. Leave on overnight. Repeat this daily for 1 to 2 weeks to see results. You can also repeat this twice in the day, once at night and once in the morning.

Castor Oil thickens eyelashes and eyebrows

Rub a little castor oil over the base of your eyelashes before bed. This prevents thinning and promotes rapid growth, leading to thicker and fuller lashes. In fact, many commercial products for eyelashes contain castor oil.
To thicken sparse eyebrows, rub a little castor oil over the brow line before bed.

How to Use Castor Oil on Eyebrows

Castor oil stimulates hair growth and is often used as a hair tonic to promote thicker, healthier hair. When used on the eyebrows, castor oil helps accelerate regrowth in eyebrows that have been over-plucked or waxed. It can also cause eyebrows to grow thicker and darker.
-Gently wash your eyebrows with a mild soap. Put a small dab of soap and water on a cotton ball and run it across each eyebrow. Pat the eyebrow dry with a sheet of facial tissue.
-Dip one end of a cotton swab in castor oil. Tap the neck of the cotton swab against the sink one or two times to get rid of the extra oil.
-Dab the cotton swab along your eyebrow, going in the direction of the hair.
-Blot away excess castor oil with the dry end of the cotton swab.

How to Apply Castor Oil to Eyelashes

Thin eyelashes can be caused by anything from aging and heredity to poor diet. Many believe that castor oil --- which comes from castor seeds and has therapeutic and medicinal benefits when used either internally or externally --- may help thicken your eyelashes. There is no scientific evidence to support this claim, but if you have thin eyelashes or lack eyelashes altogether, it is worth a try, as castor oil is nontoxic and won't harm your

-Purchase castor oil from your local health food store. Avoid purchasing castor oil from your grocery store because these castor oils may be solely for industrial use. Look for the words "cold-pressed" or "cold-processed" on the label, which indicates that the product is pure and all-natural.
-Lather an old mascara wand with water and baby shampoo to clean off any traces of mascara. Avoid using hand soap because it has detergents that can ruin your brush. Air-dry the mascara wand. -Remove any makeup from your eyes and eyelashes with eye makeup remover just before you go to bed.
-Dip your mascara wand into the castor oil and tap it on the bottle to remove any excess oil. Apply the castor oil to your eyelashes in the same fashion as you apply mascara. Work from the inner to the outer corner and swipe the oil on from the eyelash root to the tip. See that all lashes have a thin coating of the oil. Use a cotton swab to wipe away any excess oil.
-Leave the castor oil on your eyelashes overnight and wash it off in the morning with a mild facial wash. Apply your makeup as you normally would. Avoid leaving any oil residue on your lashes as it may cause your eye makeup to bleed.
